Racism Still There

Yesterday, unconsciously, I ended up in Youtube watching a documentary from one Korean's tv station reporting about racism in S.Korea. Its about a Canadian and an Indonesian who gets lost in there, alone, and as many foreigners who only speak English, they try to use every thing they can to get out from lost. If I were there all alone, I would do the same.

Its better for me to show you the video rather than writing my rambling opinion about that. First, I would like to say that I'm neutral. I don't want to make a war here. You can judge about everything later! after you watch the full clip.

In the end, You see a man and a woman try to help Gunawan, right? The Indonesian man in blue jacket finally get a help which that's the main point for us not to make a harshly comment.

I've read almost all the comments in YT and I think there are so many inappropriate words. I feel so bad and I don't get what they are trying to argue. They don't get the major reason, why this thing is made. They aren't thinking logically like Why on the earth that a Korean's tv station broadcasts something that could make bad reputation for their own country?

Luckily, there are still different kind of people in this world lols

I fully agree with him, I have a friend who is a Korean and always kind to me. I'm not defend anyone nor take a one-side. Here, I'm sad watching one of  my fellow Indonesian being ignored like that (I'm not ignoring that fact) but If I only relied on my feelings, I would be the one of crazy people who talk bad about another country. I should admit that Indonesia has bad sides too. Every country has! People make mistakes.

I've been admiring S.Korea since long time ago whole-heartedly and I think racism is everywhere. This matter should not bring down a whole country. This case should be solved by thinking clearly and do some actions.

And this is an act from someone who feels ashamed. I like someone who admits it as a fault or anything, and apologizes. (and promises not to do something wrong again)

So, what is the conclusion?

First of all, After I bring up this issue, Maybe It will change your mind - especially who has very good experience being a ''fan'' of a country or an artist from one country. Some people maybe bad, but there are so much more (yes i should emphasize this) kind people who respect others. Like an old quotation says Don't judge by its cover. In this case, you can read that quotation as "Not every person in Korea is racist".

Secondly, don't be mad easily by some disrespect people. This is the stage when your emotion's control is being tested. If you feel mad easily, you're fail.

Lastly, for many people out there, get your humanity back! We can't live alone in this world. No matter what color it has, where it is from, who it is, Everybody has rights to be respected. Racism should be 'erased' (I can't find any better words) from this earth or we will face this matter again in the future.

I'm not an expert, suggesting you what to do or not to do. Decision is on you.

One thing I want to emphasize, I love peaceful place. I love peaceful feeling. I hope there is no racism in this wold because we all are a family.
